Context

The Recreation Commission holds idle recreation funds from the Amazon-related account and solicited wish lists from Little League, softball, football, and soccer. Items needing hard quotes include Little League dugouts ($1,500), portable mound, bleachers, shed, batting cage; softball scoreboard sign ($15K), shed ($6K), mini-split ($4K); baseball lights (~$300-400K) to be sent to the Finance Committee as a capital request. Procurement rule discussed: $10K-$100K needs three written quotes. The wish-list costs were still outstanding on August 10 and the list is kept open for small yearly capital asks; field lights to be a goal in the master plan. Open. On July 15 the commission voted to donate $2,158.95 (AED) and $5,147.99 (outdoor sound system), $7,306.94 total, from the Amazon account to Charlton Youth Football. Soccer list pending.
