244 Pleasant Street (Pleasant Wall LLC)

Context

Certificate of Appropriateness COA-26-24 (partially retroactive) for 244 Pleasant Street, built 1894 and in the Crown Hill Local Historic District (formerly The Newbury). Matheus Fagundes for Pleasant Wall, LLC sought approval of signage and of already-installed door handles and storefront windows, and offered to remove an unapproved roll-down security grate (a violation of the grant terms). Commissioners found the door hardware acceptable but the window proportions and busy vinyl decals inappropriate, and wanted smaller signage consistent with the style guide.

Continued 6-0 on 2026-08-06 to 2026-09-17 with an extended constructive grant deadline of 2026-10-02; listed again on the 2026-09-17 agenda.
