WPS Cybersecurity Incident Response

Context

Two School Committee agenda items concern cybersecurity in Worcester Public Schools. On August 13, public petition c&p 6-13 (Ford) asked for a public report and proposed corrective action on the district's cybersecurity safeguards, security-incident response and notification of affected members of the school community. On September 17, Committee member Mailman (gb 6-103) asked the Administration to share how the district would keep schools open and operational during a cybersecurity incident, including attendance and buses. The agendas do not describe any specific incident.
