HOME-ARP Rescission - Step Up America

Context

On September 8, 2026 the Council approved a resolution rescinding a $2,258,234 HOME-ARP funding allocation to Step Up America. The General Government Committee recommended approval. The item was pulled from the consent agenda (C-4) and considered individually; Shereka Floyd, Home Programs Manager in Housing and Community Services (Neighborhood Services Department), presented it and answered Council questions. The minutes do not record the questions or the reason for the rescission.

Status

Approved unanimously September 8, 2026. Open questions the minutes do not answer: why the allocation was rescinded, and whether the funds will be reallocated to another provider.
