MLK Jr. Drive Bus Shelter Project

Context

Public art bus shelter project on Martin Luther King Jr. Drive funded from the Choice Neighborhoods (CNI) budget. A dedicated MLK Jr. Drive Bus Shelter Committee of the Public Art Commission handles it. Source documents are thin; only the funding vote and agenda items are recorded.

Status

On August 4, 2026 the commission voted unanimously to allot $50,000 of the Choice Neighborhood budget to the project. The committee was to meet to discuss the RFQ/RFP and on August 25 was to set project parameters. Nothing later is recorded beyond a Sept. 1 project-update agenda item.
