Water Shortage Response and Stage 1 Conservation
Context
Voluntary Stage 1 water conservation measures were implemented in Forsyth County in mid-2026 and the Water Shortage Response Plan was discussed at the July 13 meeting (per the minutes printed in the August packet). On August 10, 2026 Bill Brewer reported that W. Kerr Scott Reservoir levels had recovered through recent rainstorms, North Carolina remained in drought status, Forsyth County would remain in Stage 1, and water production was 1.9 million (gallons, as written) higher than the year before because of the drought.
Status
Stage 1 continues as of August 10, 2026. No later status is in these documents.
