Wynnefield Forward Affordable Housing Projects

Context

Wynnefield Forward, LLC is developing affordable housing projects with city involvement, and the Council has been extending its construction completion deadlines. On August 17, 2026 the Council acted on three related items: an extension of time to complete the Lofts at Motor Road (C-6, consent), a resolution under Section 147(f) of the Internal Revenue Code approving issuance of up to $25,400,000 in multifamily housing revenue bonds to finance the Lofts at Motor Road (C-5, consent), and a new completion date for the Residences at Indiana in the North Ward (C-7, pulled from consent).

On C-7, Regina Hall asked that Wynnefield representatives follow up with Mayor Pro Tempore Denise D. Adams, whose ward includes the project, so residents are informed about the updated site plans and the anticipated completion date. The minutes do not state the new dates.

Status

All three items approved on August 17, 2026 (C-5 and C-6 in the consent vote 8-0; C-7 unanimously). The new completion dates are not given in the minutes. Watch for further deadline extensions and community follow-up.
