Washington Park Neighborhood Sewer Rehabilitation

Context

Rehabilitation of the gravity sewer system in the Washington Park neighborhood using cured-in-place lining, pipe bursting, patching, open-cut spot repairs, manhole rehabilitation and bypass pumping. Five bids were opened September 17, 2026, from $8,150,754 (Morgan Contracting, Charlotte NC) to $16,310,925 (CaJenn Construction); the engineer's estimate was $10,361,619.

Status

On the October 12, 2026 agenda with a staff recommendation to award to Morgan Contracting at $8,150,754 plus $407,540 contingency. The outcome is not in the packet.
