Youth Protection Ordinance Extension

Context

A proposal to extend the city's Youth Protection Ordinance (the public comment speakers call it the youth curfew). On September 21, 2026, 13 of the 16 people in the public comment period spoke on "Youth Curfew". The minutes list speakers and topics only, not positions or arguments.

The Public Safety Committee forwarded the item to the full Council without a recommendation after a 2-2 split vote. It was on the October 5, 2026 agenda as item G-6 (26-0360) for first reading, with a public comment slot specifically on that item.
