CSX Railcar Odors and Derailment

Context

Mayor Joseph M. Petty asked the City Manager to organize a meeting among the city, state delegates and CSX so that railcars carrying solid waste do not idle in the city, leaving foul odors around Canterbury St. and elsewhere. As amended by Petty, the report is also to cover other affected areas and the August 14, 2026 CSX freight train derailment and ways to prevent a recurrence.
