Chris Murphy, Director of Planning and Development Services Department, advised
that a last-minute change had been made to the ordinance and that paper copies of
the revised version were provided to Council Members for review. He explained that
the proposed amendments to Section 5.2.44 of the UDO regarding Land Clearing
and Inert Debris (LCID) facilities resulted from the County Attorney’s review. The
amendment clarifies that LCIDs may require a Special Use Permit from the Board of
Adjustment or Elected Body, or Planning Board Review, as applicable to the zoning
district. Mr. Murphy further explained that the City/County unified provision was
revised to accurately reflect the County’s Elected Body Special Use Permit process

process.
