Tanglewood Force Main Replacement

Context

Replacement of the aging force main serving the Tanglewood Pump Station: about 19,980 feet of 20-inch force main, 161 feet of 24-inch gravity sewer, 10 air release valves, 422 feet of 36-inch casing and new pumps. Six bids were opened July 29, 2026, from $9,163,764.50 (Garney Companies, Garner NC) to $11,618,311 (Moffat Pipe); the engineer's estimate was $9,994,050.

Status

Approved September 14, 2026: contract awarded to Garney Companies at $9,163,764.50 with $458,188 available for contingency.
