Fee Schedule Ordinance 26-03

Context

The Town's fee schedule for fiscal year July 1, 2026 to June 30, 2027, adopted as its own ordinance alongside the budget. It was reviewed at the March 19 budget work session, printed in the proposed budget book, advertised and heard as a separate public hearing on June 1, and adopted by a separate motion, so it is tracked here apart from FYE 2027 Budget.

Fees in Ordinance 26-03 (read from the scanned ordinance):

  • Administration: returned check fee $25.00; copies $0.10 per page.
  • Town Park rental, per three-hour block: quarter pavilion $100; half pavilion $250; full pavilion $500; full gazebo $100. Every reservation requires a refundable deposit equal to the rental fee.
  • Sewer fees: residential tap fee $1,500, residential capital recovery fee $3,500 (no square-footage or acreage fee); commercial and industrial tap fee $4,000, $0.75 per square foot (using the Davidson County tax card subarea totals) and a $3,000 acreage fee, no capital recovery fee.

No fee changes were made. At the March 19 work session Brock Hall said some residents say pavilion prices are too high, but the Town gets plenty of rentals and the fees only offset the cost of running the park, so Council by consensus kept the schedule; the work session list matched the final schedule. The minutes do not discuss the sewer fees, so whether they changed from the prior year is not stated.

Status

Adopted June 1, 2026 (Ordinance 26-03), unanimous on a motion by Keith Leonard seconded by Robin Moon; public hearing advertised in The Dispatch May 19, no speakers. Park rentals have been strong: pavilion rentals up about 18% and gazebo up about 150% in FY 2026 per the July 13 report.
