Subdivision Ordinance Review

Context

On September 22 Mike McAlpine asked that the Town review its subdivision ordinances, particularly major subdivision provisions, because of development pressure moving south from Forsyth County and the risk of vague or outdated language. Jackie Edwards added that Planning and Zoning Board meetings are often cancelled when no applicant has business, and could be used for ordinance review.

Status

Council directed staff to ask the Planning Board to undertake a systematic section-by-section review, with staff support. No Planning Board action recorded yet.
