Bejarano and Montes Ortiz Kennedy Road Rezoning (REZ-26-18)

Context

Maria Isabel Bejarano and Arnulfo Montes Ortiz asked on 7/27/2026 to rezone 2.46 acres (Thomasville Township, Tax Map 348, part of Lot 15) on the east side of Kennedy Road about 400 feet south of Fuller Mill Road from RA-3 to CZ-LI. Their letter describes a 24/7 gravel parking lot for tractor-trailers with fencing and a new laundromat; proposed conditions are downward-shielded lighting, an NCDOT driveway permit and an 8-foot fence. The street number is given as 1115 Kennedy Road in the letter and 1425 Kennedy Road in the application mailing address, and the notice spells the first name Bejarna.

Status

Planning Board review scheduled August 18 and Commissioner hearing September 14. Outcome not in the posted documents.
