Land Development Plan Update

Context

The 2009 Land Development Plan runs to 2029. At the August 4 Planning Board meeting staff said the county has funding for the update, to be run with the Piedmont Triad Regional Council, with a steering committee of about 12 to 13 people drawn from elected officials, planning board members and bodies such as the VAD committee. Staff also floated that the update could identify preferred locations for data centers near the Yadkin River and power generation.

Status

Planning director requested a steering committee; process about a year with about four meetings.
