Galaxi Towers Rezoning - Emanuel Church Road (REZ-26-12)

Context

Kendall Communications for Galaxi Towers (also written Alpha Towers Prop Co) applied on 5/13/2026 to rezone 0.25 acre (Tax Map 346 Lot 19, Thomasville Township) on the north side of Emanuel Church Road, owned by Emanuel Reformed Church, from RA-3 to CZ-LI so that a tall wireless tower could be built. Tony Phillips of Kendall proposed a 100 by 100 foot lease area with a 180-foot monopole (the narrative later speaks of a 195-foot monopine for three carriers), standby generator, motion-sensor lighting only, and access from the church parcel. The existing limit was 160 feet.

Status

Withdrawn. The Planning Board had continued the case on June 2 (5-0) and the Commissioners continued it 6-0 to August 10 while a text amendment raising tower heights was heard; after that amendment passed on July 16 the applicant filed a withdrawal form (reported 7/21). The Commissioners' August 10 summary also records a Kendall request withdrawn.
